微软预计 Windows XP SP3于本月底发布，据多家媒体报道，具体时间为4月29日，不过，这一时间尚未获微软证实。

　　Devil Mountain软件公司的测试显示，安装了Windows XP SP3后的XP系统在处理某些计算任务时，速度几乎是Vista的两倍。该公司还发现，与Windows XP SP2相比，Windows XP SP3可以令XP的性能提升10%，而Windows XP SP1对Vista的性能提升几乎可以忽略不计。

　　Windows XP SP3不会象Windows XP SP2一样给XP带来那么大的改变，它不会提高系统速度，不会带来新功能，也不会去掉旧功能。它的作用与Windows XP SP1有些类似。
